resources
Because of Persisting Sound's mission to present works by historically excluded composers, we've had to do quite a bit of research to find the lovely pieces that we've performed so far. In an effort to make it easier for everyone to discover these wonderful works, here is a list of some of the resources that we've been using.
DISCLAIMER: These are public resources that we have found through our own research and it is by no means a complete list. The composers included have given their permission to be listed upon these respective sources (shown below).
If you are interested in programming a composer's music, please reach out to them directly. Though it is always great to use these resources to find new works, in an effort to avoid tokenism, please remember that a composer is more than their race/ethnicity and gender. Find music you love and remember to pay the composer!
If we've missed any resources, please let us know - we are always looking to discover more works!
